This is a very strong herb that has now been regulated. It has been abused as a weight loss herb and has since been taken off the shelves. It is now only available from qualified practitioners. Chinese medicine practitioners use this herb as a bronchodialator for asthma and severe common colds. It is actually used very little in my pharmacy.

Endometriosis is a painful condition often related to fertility issues. I see many women who suffer frequently from pain during their cycle. Acupuncture helps regulate the cycle, warm the uterus and relax the uterus. There are several syndromes that may be underlying in endometriosis but all of them have some sort of blood stagnation. Acupuncture helps to correct the stagnation to increase the normal qi and blood flow throughout the uterus. This in turn will help relieve the painful symptoms of endometriosis. Chinese herbs to move qi and blood and warm the uterus are often used in comjustion with acupuncture as well as moxibutsion.
